1. Tell us about your business.
The Almasi family business has been rooted in Woodbridge for ninety years. The founder of Almasi Trucking Company, John Almasi, Sr., was a man of great foresight. During the depression, he launched a very successful local jitney bus business so lucrative that it caught the attention of Public Service, who purchased the operation in 1929.
The sale allowed John Almasi to purchase property in Woodbridge and launch his trucking and material supply business. In the last quarter century, Almasi Companies has evolved into a full service site work and utility installations contractor. Our portfolio of projects include New Meadowlands Stadium, The College of NJ, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Middlesex Water, Garden State Parkway, PSE&G facilities, as well as many others.
