Mayor John McCormac appeared at THE CLUB AT WOODBRIDGE on Sunday, January 26th in support of a fundraiser for the STOMP THE MONSTER FOUNDATION. For the second year in a row, the CLUB AT WOODBRIDGE opens its doors to host the event which helps raise funds to assist area families going through Cancer treatments.
During the fundraiser participants were able to participate in classes
including Zumba, Spin (cycling), and yoga. Live entertainment with
audience participation was provided by singer/entertainer Marty McKernan.
Both class participants and attendees alike were able to enjoy a fun day while raising money for a worthy cause.
Theresa McKernan said ” This is the second year we have held the event with even greater success than the first and we are so appreciative of the Mayor taking time out of his busy weekend to kindly appear and support us”
Together with co event coordinator Susan Mark (also pictured with the Mayor) the STOMP THE MONSTER fun day raised over $3000. “We could never do this well without the generous support of THE CLUB AT WOODBRIDGE” Susan said.
” The money raised will go straight to assisting families going through cancer treatments helping pay for things like groceries, utilities, and transportation to and from treatments!”
